Two things:

With WP_DEBUG turned on, there seems to be over a dozen PHP notices throughout the plugin.
bp-default doesn’t work without javascript.

  Notices can be cleaned up for 1.2.1, it’s not a huge deal for the average user, but it obviously makes for better code. The bp-default theme works fine without JS, I’ve tested this myself. It’s a degraded experience, but you can get most things done.

  As per Andy’s comments, I feel these two things are better for the bug tracker than here.

I was told to by junsuijin in the buddypress-dev IRC post those issues here. However, in the future I’ll keep in mind to post these kinds of things in trac first.

Regarding bp-default not working, it does work without js. I just wasn’t including ajax.php. Sorry about that.

The IRC chat room has been getting clogged up with lots of off topic chatter lately. I don’t have a problem with the occasional joke, or idle chit-chat, or whatever, but its not the place to teach someone how to use C-Panel, or talk about your vacation for 3 pages, etc. There is also a lot of people wandering in without even a slight grasp of how to use WordPress, maybe they should be re-directed somewhere else more appropriate?
