#weekly-updates thread for the week of March 24th. What’s been happening in BuddyPress land, contributors?

This week i focused on 5429: The “feature as a plugin” Attachments component. Thanks to @boonebgorges ‘s patch i was able to create the Github repository of the very first version of the plugin this morning : https://github.com/buddypress/bp-attachments
The readme.md file details what i’ve done so far and the todos and improvements i think we need to work on. There might be bugs i’ve missed, i’ll be pleased of your feedbacks about it.

Next week i’ll need to take care of:
- 5464: on multisite, the wp-admin/profile nav is displayed at the bottom of child blogs. I’ve attached a patch to avoid this.
- 5367: about wp-admin/profile and configs where BuddyPress is not network activated.
- i’ll surely take care of creating the Administration screens for BP Attachments.

I’ve been working on some miscellaneous tickets to prepare for a beta in the next few days, and doing some behind-the-scenes wrangling to straighten out some on-the-fence tickets.

I’ll spend some time in the next week writing up performance benchmarks that compare 1.9.x to 2.0 on various kinds of setups. I’ll also be starting work on bringing the Skeleton Component up to date, which may result in some general posts to this space/the Codex about topics that devs should be aware of.

I spent this last week out of the country so didn’t get any time for BP patches. #5220 is very close now, and should be committed soon.
